City Exchange, Hull

The Liteideas team was convinced that a conventional floodlighting approach would not enhance the ornate architecture of this Grade II listed building and former Hull City Central Post Office. Light pollution and hazards to road traffic also had to be avoided.

The end result was an innovative design incorporating a wide range of complementary light sources. The sculpted stonework, arches and balustrades were lit to striking effect, the client thought the job 'fantastic' and we have entered the project in the National Design Awards!
